How limits work, what they cover, and how to get more.

What are usage limits?

Usage policy are caps on how many AI messages and responses your account can generate within a given time window. They exist to keep the service fair and sustainable for all users. Every account — Free and Pro — has limits, though Pro limits are significantly higher.

Limits are tracked per user account, not per device. Whether you use Grukmo on your phone, tablet, or browser, all activity counts toward the same limit.

How reset windows work

Grukmo uses rolling reset windows rather than a single midnight cutoff. Your daily limit resets every 4 hours 40 minutes — six times across each 24-hour period. This means you never have to wait a full day to get access back.

What counts toward my limit?

Each exchange — one message you send plus the AI response — counts as one unit. Longer conversations, follow-up questions, and regenerated responses all count individually.

  • Sending a message counts when the AI begins responding.
  • Stopping a response mid-stream still counts — the request was processed.
  • System messages and app-generated context do not count.
  • Plus routine runs are tracked separately under their own daily quota.

What happens when I hit my limit?

When you exhaust your daily window limit, Grukmo will reply to your next message with a notice instead of an AI response. The notice includes the exact time your window resets so you know exactly when you can continue.

Your existing chats and conversation history are never deleted or affected. Only new AI responses are paused until the window resets.

How to get more usage

Wait for reset

Every 4h 40m your daily window refreshes. Free users can check the reset time shown in the limit notice or in Settings → Usage.

Upgrade to Pro

Pro gives you 200 messages per daily window (vs 30 on Free), a 1000-message weekly cap, access to Signals & Insights, Plus, and priority response speed.

Frequently asked questions

Does unused quota roll over?

No. Each window starts fresh regardless of how much you used in the previous one.

Do limits reset at midnight?

No. Windows roll every 4h 40m from when your first request in a window was made, so resets are spread across the day.

Are limits the same on mobile and web?

Yes. All devices share the same account-level limits. Switching devices does not reset or increase your quota.

Will my history be deleted if I hit a limit?

Never. Usage policy only pause new AI responses. Your conversations, Plus workflows, and settings are always safe.

Where can I track my current usage?

Go to Settings → Usage on web or in the app to see your live usage percentage and reset times for each window.
